In this tutorial we will show walk you through the update\/upgrade steps. So understanding how to update PHP on your own using EasyApache in WHM is great knowledge to have in order to help keep your website PCI compliant.<\/p>\n

Upgrading PHP with EasyApache<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Log into WHM<\/a> as the \u201croot\u201d user.<\/li>\n
  2. In the search<\/em> box type \u2018easy\u2019 then click the EasyApache 4<\/strong> option.

  3. Click the Customize<\/strong> button next to Currently Installed Packages<\/em>.
    \n\"Customize<\/li>\n
  4. Click the PHP Versions<\/strong> link.
    \n\"ClickYou will then see your installed<\/em> packages listed. If a PHP version is updatable<\/em> it will have an Update<\/strong> switch already turned on.

    There is no need to adjust this setting to update that PHP version.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  5. To install additional PHP versions, click the slider next to the options. In this example, I am installing PHP 7.1<\/em>, but the current minimum recommended version is PHP 8.0.

  6. Click the Review<\/strong> button once you have chosen which packages to update\/install.
    \n\"ReviewYou will then see a message stating \u201cPreparing selected packages for review \u2026<\/em>\u201d This may take several minutes to complete.

  7. The Review<\/em> page will list all the changes you are about to make. Scroll to the bottom, and click the Provision<\/strong> button to proceed.
