You can view more information about the end of life <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.joomla.org\/Joomla!_CMS_versions\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During our testing of VirtueMart, when we <a href=\"\/support\/edu\/joomla\/joomla-2-5\/add-new-product-in-virtuemart\/\">added our first product<\/a> we entered the price under the assumption it would be listed using the American Dollar format. As you can see from the screenshot below, VirtueMart for Joomla 2.5 is setup by default to use the Euro instead of the American Dollar.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/edu_joomla25_change-default-virtuemart-currency_virtuemart-default-euro-currency.gif\" rel=\"lightbox-0\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"477\" height=\"318\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inmotionhosting.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/edu_joomla25_change-default-virtuemart-currency_virtuemart-default-euro-currency.gif\" class=\"optimized-lcp-image\" alt=\"virtuemart-default-euro-currency\" loading=\"eager\" fetchpriority=\"high\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\"><\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<p>If your primary customers will not be using the Euro, for customer usability purposes you\u2019ll want to adjust the default currency of your VirtueMart store. In this tutorial, we\u2019ll show you how to change your store\u2019s default currency.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To configure the default currency in VirtueMart:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol class=\"article_list\">\n<li><a href=\"\/support\/edu\/joomla\/joomla-3\/how-to-log-in-to-administrative-dashboard\/\">Log into your Joomla Dashboard<\/a><\/li>\n<li>In the top menu, hover over <strong>Components<\/strong> and click <strong>VirtueMart<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>Shop<\/strong> icon<\/li>\n<li>There are three tabs listed: Vendor, Additional Information, and General User Information. Ensure you are under the Vendor tab by clicking <strong>Vendor<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Towards the right of the page, you will see a heading labeled <strong>Currency<\/strong>, and under that another option that says <strong>Currency<\/strong>. Using the drop down menu next to Currency, select your default currency.
