There are two ways to enable this scanner. We will show you how to enable with FTP settings, and also manually via cPanel. \u201c<em>This scan is an extension to our remote malware\/blacklist scan and it runs once a day. It verifies every single file on your site, looking for backdoors, phishing and any other security issue that our remote scanner could miss. It also tracks file changes, giving you an audit trail of any change that happens on your files.You can enable Server Side Scanning for no extra cost. It is not required, but we recommend all our users to enable it whenever possible (<a href=\"https:\/\/kb.sucuri.net\/monitoring\/Server+Side+Scanner\/server-side-scan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">learn more<\/a>).<\/em>\u201c<a name=\"ftp\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"#ftp\">Enable via FTP<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#cpanel\">Enable Manually<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ftp\">Enable via FTP<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This first option will require you to enter the FTP settings for your server on the Sucuri website, so the  account can add the files to enable server side scanning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"article_list wp-block-list\">\n<li>View and save your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inmotionhosting.com\/support\/website\/ftp\/getting-started-guide\/\">FTP settings<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inmotionhosting.com\/support\/security\/sucuri-login\/\">Log into Sucuri<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">You will then see the websites you have already added.
