As you develop a customer base, you will inevitably need to have a support email address for clients to send questions or issues. Setting up email piping allows those emails to become tickets within your WHMCS. Follow along below as we show how to set up email piping between your WHMCS admin dashboard and cPanel.<\/p>\n

Setting Up Email Piping in WHMCS<\/h2>\n

  1. Log into the WHMCS admin interface<\/a>.\n
    <\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  2. \"\"<\/a>Click on Setup -> Support -> Support Departments<\/strong>.\n
    <\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  3. \"\"<\/a>From the Support Ticket Departments<\/em> page, locate the Ticket Importing using Email Forwarders<\/strong> field and copy everything AFTER \u2018home\/username\/\u2019<\/em> in the path.\n
    Example:<\/strong> If the field reads:
    \n\u2018| php -q \/home\/userna5\/whmcsdata\/crons\/pipe.php<\/em>\u2018 then copy the \u2018whmcsdata\/crons\/pipe.php<\/em>\u2018 portion into your clipboard (Ctrl+C).<\/div>\n

  4. Now, log into your cPanel dashboard<\/a>.\n
    <\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  5. \"\"<\/a>Locate the Emails<\/em> category and click on the Forwarders<\/strong> option.\n

  6. \"\"<\/a>Click the Add Forwarder<\/strong> button.\n

  7. \"\"<\/a>On the Add New Forwarder<\/em> page, enter the support department\u2019s email address in the Address to Forward<\/strong> field.\n
