You are heading out of the office, and every email that arrives should still get a reply. Follow these steps to create an autoresponder in Webmail using only your email address and password.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note:<\/strong> If you manage several email addresses, you can also create autoresponders for all of them from cPanel<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What an Autoresponder Does<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

An autoresponder is an automatic reply that your mail server sends when someone emails your address. Use it for out-of-office notices, or to confirm that you received an order or an inquiry. The interval sets how many hours the server waits before it answers the same sender again. If someone writes twice within that window, they get only one reply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Create an Autoresponder in Webmail<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to https:\/\/yourdomain.com\/webmail<\/code>, replacing yourdomain.com<\/code> with your domain name. See how to log in to Webmail<\/a> if you need help.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Enter your Email Address<\/strong> (for example, name@example.com<\/code>) and Password<\/strong>, then click Log in<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Under Manage Your Inbox<\/strong>, click the Autoresponders<\/strong> card.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

    You can also click your email address at the top right of any Webmail page, then choose Autoresponders<\/strong> from the menu.<\/p>\n\n\n

        Email<\/td>Shows the address you are logged in as. You cannot change it in Webmail.<\/td><\/tr>
        From<\/td>The sender name shown on the reply.<\/td><\/tr>
        Subject<\/td>The subject line of the reply.<\/td><\/tr>
        This message contains HTML.<\/td>Check this box only if the body uses HTML.<\/td><\/tr>
        Body<\/td>The message text. You can use %subject%<\/code> (subject of the incoming message), %from%<\/code> (sender\u2019s name, if available), and %email%<\/code> (sender\u2019s address).<\/td><\/tr>
        Start<\/td>Immediately<\/strong> (default) or Custom<\/strong> to pick a start date and time from the calendar.<\/td><\/tr>
        Stop<\/td>Never<\/strong> (default) or Custom<\/strong> to pick a stop date and time from the calendar. The stop time must be later than the start time.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

        Tip:<\/strong> Choose Custom<\/strong> for Stop and enter your return date and time, so the reply switches off by itself. Avoid an interval of 0 unless you need it: the autoresponder then answers every message, and it can trade replies in a loop with another autoresponder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          A green banner reads \u201cYou successfully created the \u201cname@example.com\u201d autoresponder,\u201d with your own address in the quotation marks. Go Back<\/strong> returns you to the Webmail home page; open Autoresponders<\/strong> again to see the new entry in the list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Plans change, so the next section shows how to adjust or remove it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          How to Edit or Delete an Autoresponder in Webmail<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          1. Open the Autoresponders<\/strong> page. Under Current Autoresponders<\/strong>, find your address in the table.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. To change the message or dates, click Edit<\/strong> in the row. The form opens under the heading Modify Autoresponder<\/strong>; update it and click Modify<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          3. To remove it, click Delete<\/strong> in the row.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n
