We will show how to enable, disable and change the email address used for these notifications in the following tutorial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"why-updates-are-important\">Why should I update my website application?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you use any type of computer, you are aware that updates are a part of life with both the hardware and software sides of your device. The same is true of your website software. Updates are important because they include security patches, bug fixes, and updated features. You should keep up with all updates if only for the security patches so that your data remains safe from possible exploits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"modify-notifications-email-address\">Email Settings: Modifying the Email Notification Address<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The email notification address is the email address used by Softaculous for any notification email that is sent. Occasionally, this email address may need to change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list article_list\">\n<li><a href=\"\/support\/edu\/cpanel\/how-to-log-into-cpanel\/\">Login to the cPanel<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to <i>Software\/Services<\/i> and click on the <strong>Softaculous Apps Installer<\/strong> icon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on <b>Email Settings<\/b> in the Softaculous menu bar at the top of the screen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the field to edit the email address used for email notifications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the <b>Edit Email Settings<\/b> button at the bottom of the page in order to save you changes<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"email-notifications-settings\">Eight Other Email Notifications from Softaculous<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Email Settings section of Softaculous includes the settings for eight other email notifications beyond the update notification. These notifications are described in the table below. The email address used for all of the email notifications can be modified in this section (as seen in the instructions above). You can also use this interface to <strong>Disable All Update Notifications Emails<\/strong>. This option is provided in the Email Settings through a single checkbox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list article_list\">\n<li><a href=\"\/support\/edu\/cpanel\/how-to-log-into-cpanel\/\">Login to the cPanel<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to <i>Software\/Services<\/i> and click on the <b>Softaculous Apps Installer<\/b> icon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on <b>Email Settings<\/b> in the Softaculous menu bar at the top of the screen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scroll down until you get the line that reads <i>Disable All Update Notifications Emails<\/i>. As per the description, if you click on the checkbox it will disable <b>ALL<\/b> of the email notifications for all installations made by Softaculous. Click on the checkbox to disable the notifications.
