This behavior usually manifests as redirecting back to the main page of the site, though 404 pages have also been reported. Follow the instructions below as we demonstrate how to fix this for your WordPress site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Fix WordPress Redirect Errors using cPanel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"article_list wp-block-list\"><li>First, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inmotionhosting.com\/support\/edu\/cpanel\/how-to-log-into-cpanel\/\">log into your cPanel<\/a> dashboard.<div style=\"clear: both;\">\n<li>Once logged into the cPanel, find the <em>Files<\/em> category and then look for the <strong>File Manager<\/strong> icon. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inmotionhosting.com\/support\/edu\/cpanel\/using-file-manager-in-cpanel\/\">Enter the <em>File Manager<\/em><\/a> choosing the <strong>Home Directory<\/strong> option. Also, be sure that the radio button option for <strong>Show hidden files (dotfiles)<\/strong> is selected as well, since the file we are going to edit is one of these types. Click on the <strong>Go<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<li>This lists the files in the topmost directory of your account, also known as the <em>Home Directory<\/em>. From here, look for a file entitled <code>.htaccess<\/code>.
