There are many places within PrestaShop that can affect the shipping and handling costs. Some are within the Shipping and Carrier sections, and others are within the Product information. If you test a brand new product within your PrestaShop store, you will see a $2 fee included by default. This article explains how to remove that default fee.<\/p>\n

How to remove the $2 default shipping charge in PrestaShop<\/h2>\n

  1. First, log into your PrestaShop admin interface<\/a>.\n
    <\/div>\n<\/li>\n

    <\/div>\n

    From the main dashboard, use the upper toolbar, hover over Shipping<\/em> and click on Shipping<\/strong> from the dropdown menu.<\/p>\n

    This brings you to the main Shipping<\/em> page. Look for the field labeled Handling charges<\/strong>. The default setting is 2, which sets the charge to $2. Change it to 0 to remove it or change it to whatever you wish.<\/p>\n

  4. Once you have changed or remove the handling charge, click on the green Save<\/strong> button in the upper right corner. Below is a shot of a shopping cart both before and after the default handling charge is removed.
