After you install the Moodle Configurable Report Block<\/a>, you will need to create your custom report. The steps below explain how to set up a basic custom report in the Configurable Report Block.<\/p>\n

Setting up the General Settings for your Custom Report<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Log into the Moodle Dashboard<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  2. \"Moodle<\/a>\n
    <\/div>\n

    Go to the Configurable Blocks<\/em> block. <\/p>\n

    Note!<\/strong> If you do not see the block you will need to add it. See the previous tutorial.<\/p>\n

    Click the Manage reports<\/strong> link.
    <\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \"Add<\/a>\n
    <\/div>\n

    Initially there will be No Reports available. <\/p>\n

    Click Add Report<\/strong>.
    <\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \"Option<\/a>\n
    <\/div>\n

    Enter the name of the Report and the Summary. <\/p>\n

    In the Type of Report<\/em>, you can select the following types for reports.<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Categories Report<\/li>\n
    2. Courses Report<\/li>\n
    3. SQL Report<\/li>\n
    4. Timeline Report<\/li>\n
    5. User Report<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Select the type of report. Check the Export in XLS Format<\/em> of you want the report to be downloaded to an Excel spreadsheet.<\/p>\n

      Click Add<\/strong>.

      Configure the columns for the custom report<\/h2>\n

      1. \"User<\/a>\n
        <\/div>\n

        Next, you will need to add the columns to your report. Select the type from the Add<\/em> drop box. In this case we are adding a User Profile Field<\/em>. <\/p>\n

        Note!<\/strong> These options will vary depending on what type of report you selected in the Report General Settings.

      2. \"Add<\/a>\n
        <\/div>\n

        Choose from the column drop box what type of data you will be displaying in the report. In this case, We are going to display the students usernames<\/em>. <\/p>\n

        Give the Column and Cell properties a name.<\/p>\n

        Click Add<\/strong>.

      3. \"Columns<\/a>\n
        <\/div>\n

        Repeat the same steps adding the parameters you want in the report. Once finished you should have a list of fields like the snapshot to the right. <\/p>\n

        To see the report, click the View Report<\/em> tab.
