When you select the order, there will be several options listed in the gray rectangle on the right (as seen in the screenshot). The following screen describes the actions available per order: <\/p>\n<table border=\"0\" class=\"article_table\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<th>Action<\/th>\n<th>Description<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>EDIT<\/td>\n<td>This option lets you view the order information, and change the <strong>Status<\/strong> of the order.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>DELETE<\/td>\n<td>This lets you cancel the order, and remove the record of this sale.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>INVOICE<\/td>\n<td>You can view the invoice that lists the customer information, address information, payment and product order information. This is often used to provide a receipt for the sale.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>PACKING SLIP<\/td>\n<td>You can view the packing slip used to ship the order. Shipping info is based on the customer account information.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/edu_oscommerce_204_admin-orders_orders-edit-view.png\" rel=\"lightbox-0\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"View of order after clicking on the EDIT action\" class=\"std_ss\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inmotionhosting.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/edu_oscommerce_204_admin-orders_orders-edit-view.png\" style=\"float: right; margin: 0px 0px 15px 15px;\" width=\"100\"><\/a>\n<div style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<p>If a customer pays through a service like PayPal or Authorize.net, then the order update will be automatically added to the table.  If the customer is paying with cash (or cash on delivery), then in order to update the order manually, an administrator will need to click on <strong>EDIT<\/strong> in the <em>Actions<\/em> section.  Click on <strong>EDIT<\/strong>, then click on the drop-down menu next to the word <strong>STATUS<\/strong>.  You can change status of the order to:  Pending (default), Processed, Delivered, Paypal or other payment options that you may have added to your osCommerce installation.<\/p><\/li>\n<li>If necessary, also click in the <strong>COMMENTS<\/strong> field in order to add a comment on the order.  Immediately beneath the <strong>COMMENTS<\/strong> field are two checkboxes.  <em>Notify Customer<\/em> will send a note to the customer to update them on the order, and <em>Apppend Comments<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>UPDATE<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This completes the sales process from the Administrator perspective.
