After installing osCommerce, one of the first things you will want to do is add a product, which can be accomplished in the Admin panel of osCommerce.
In this guide we will walk you through adding a product to your osCommerce store. <\/p>\n

Adding a Product:<\/h2>\n

  1. Login to the Admin Section of osCommerce.<\/li>\n
  2. Click the Catalog<\/strong> link in the navigation menu, then click the Categories\/Products link.<\/li>\n
  3. To enter the product within a category, click the folder next to it, then click the New Product<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n
  4. You will then see a New Product menu, fill in the fields as needed. Below is a brief description of the options:

    Product Status:<\/td>\nChoose from \u201cIn Stock\u201d or \u201cOut of Stock\u201d<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Date Available:<\/td>\nYou can set a date here for when the product will be able to purchase this product.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Products Manufacturer:<\/td>\nChoose a manufacturer <\/a>here from the drop down menu.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Products Name:<\/td>\nEnter a product name here.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Tax Class:<\/td>\nSelect \u201cnone,\u201d if you do not want to charge tax<\/a> for this product or \u201cTaxable Goods\u201d to charge tax<\/a>.\u00a0<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Products Price (Net):<\/td>\nEnter the dollar amount you make after deducting additional cost.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Products Price (Gross):<\/td>\nEnter the total dollar amount you make before deducting any other additional cost.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Products Description:<\/td>\nEnter detailed information about the product here.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Products Quantity:<\/td>\nEnter a numeric value for how many products you have available.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Products Model:<\/td>\nYou can provide a model number here for your product.\u00a0<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Products Image:<\/td>\nClick the browse button to upload an image of your new product.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Products URL:<\/td>\nYou can enter a website URL for your product here, be sure to leave out the: https:\/\/<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

  5. After entering your preferred information, click the Save<\/strong> button. In my tests I added a banana.
