This article will show you how to disable the comments for new articles (pages and posts) in your WordPress site.<\/p>\n<h2>Disabling comments in WordPress Posts and Pages<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"article_list\">\n<li><a href=\"\/support\/edu\/wordpress\/logging-into-wordpress-dashboard\/\">Log into your WordPress Admin dashboard<\/a>.\n<div style=\"clear: both;\"><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>From the left hand sidebar menu, click the <strong>Settings<\/strong> option.\n<div style=\"clear: both;\"><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>From the expanded menu, click on the <strong>Discussion<\/strong> option.\n<div style=\"clear: both;\"><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>This brings you to the <em>Discussion Settings<\/em> page. From here, look at the first section, named <em>Default article settings<\/em> and uncheck the box labeled <strong> Allow people to post comments on new articles <\/strong>\n<div style=\"clear: both;\"><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click on the <strong>Save Changes<\/strong> button at the bottom of the page.
