WordPress is a very versatile program, allowing you to create different types of sites. Some want ecommerce, some want the basic blog, etc. Some, however, want to create a regular site with static pages and no blog posts<\/strong>, including the post index page that displays the recent posts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Removing the blog posts page in WordPress<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Log into your WordPress admin panel<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Look to the left hand sidebar menu and click the Settings<\/strong> option.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. From the expanded menu, click on the Reading<\/strong> option.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. You are brought to the Reading Settings<\/em> page. From here, locate the Your homepage displays<\/em> section and select the radio button for A static page (select below)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Next, select the page you want as your front page from the Homepage:<\/strong> dropdown.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Finally, set the Posts page:<\/strong> dropdown to \u2013Select\u2013<\/em>. This effectively removes it from displaying on your site.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Click on the Save Changes<\/strong> button to activate the new setup. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
