While this may not generally be the cleanest method, it gets the job done.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"article_list\">\n<li><a href=\"\/support\/edu\/joomla\/joomla-3\/how-to-log-in-to-administrative-dashboard\/\">Log into your Joomla 2.5 admin backend<\/a><\/li>\n<li> <a href=\"\/support\/images\/stories\/edu\/joomla25\/folder_field_empty\/find-extenion_id.gif\" rel=\"lightbox-0\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"std_ss\" src=\"\/support\/images\/stories\/edu\/joomla25\/folder_field_empty\/find-extenion_id.gif\" style=\"float:right; margin:0px 0px 15px 15px;\" alt=\"Find extension id\"><\/a>\n<div style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>Find the id of the plugin you wish to remove.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To do this, in the top menu click <strong>Extensions<\/strong> and then click <strong>Extension Manager<\/strong>. Then, click the <strong>Manage<\/strong> tab. In the list of extensions on the page, find the ID of the extension under the ID column.<\/p>\n<p>In this example, we are going to delete the <em>Authentication \u2013 GMail<\/em> plugin, which has an <em>ID<\/em> of <strong>400<\/strong><\/p><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/support\/\">Log into phpMyAdmin<\/a> and open the _extensions table of your Joomla 2.5 database<\/li>\n<li> <a href=\"\/support\/images\/stories\/edu\/joomla25\/folder_field_empty\/click-delete-in-phpmyadmin.gif\" rel=\"lightbox-0\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"std_ss\" src=\"\/support\/images\/stories\/edu\/joomla25\/folder_field_empty\/click-delete-in-phpmyadmin.gif\" style=\"float:right; margin:0px 0px 15px 15px;\" alt=\"Delete the extension id\"><\/a>\n<div style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<p>Browse the table until you find the extension that you want to remove. The ID that you found in step 2 will be the same as the <strong>extension_id<\/strong> column in your extensions table. When you find the entry, click \u201cDelete\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations, you have successfully uninstalled a Joomla 2.5 extension using phpMyAdmin!<\/p>\n<p class=\"alert\">Please be aware however that this simply deletes the extension from the database.
