In this article I\u2019ll teach you how to remove the rating and reviews section from the product comparison page in OpenCart.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve read my previous article on how to disable product reviews in OpenCart<\/a>\u00a0you should already know how to login to your OpenCart admin dashboard to turn off the product reviews from showing on your products. However if a user clicks on the\u00a0Add to Compare<\/strong> link beside a product, and then they click on\u00a0the\u00a0product comparison<\/strong> page the product reviews will still display here.<\/p>\n

It would probably be helpful to first learn about how to edit a OpenCart template<\/a> before continuing, as this is the process we\u2019ll be using to make our modifications to OpenCart\u2019s product comparison page.<\/p>\n

Disable rating and reviews from product comparisons<\/h2>\n

Using the steps below you should be able to modify your OpenCart compare.tbl<\/strong> template in order to not display any information regarding the rating or reviews of products.<\/p>\n

  1. Open up the File Manager Code Editor in cPanel<\/a>\u00a0and edit the following file:\n

    \/catalog\/view\/theme\/default\/template\/product\/compare.tpl<\/code>
    \nYou should also     backup the file before editing<\/a> to be on the safe side.<\/p><\/li>\n

  2. Around line 65<\/strong>\u00a0you\u2019ll want to comment out or remove the following block of code:\n
