In this article we\u2019ll cover how you can reset your phpList admin password, in case you\u2019ve forgotten it, and for some reason don\u2019t have access to the phpList admin email account.<\/p>\n

If you do still have access to the phpList admin email account, you can follow our guide on how to retreive my phpList admin password<\/a>, as you can simply have your admin password emailed to you this way.<\/p>\n

Reset the phpList admin password<\/h2>\n

Follow these steps to reset the phpList admin password in your phpList database, using phpMyAdmin.<\/p>\n

  1. Login to your cPanel<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. \"click<\/a>\n

    Under the Databases<\/strong> section, click on phpMyAdmin<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li>\n

  3. \"click From the left-hand pane, click on your phpList database name, in our case this is userna1_phpli55<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. \"clickFrom the left-hand pane, click on the pl_admin<\/strong> table.<\/li>\n
  5. \"click<\/a>\n

    Click on Edit<\/strong> on the row that has the loginname<\/strong> of admin<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li>\n

  6. \"fill<\/a>\n
    <\/div>\n

    In the password<\/strong> field, type in your new password you want to use, then click Go<\/strong> at the bottom.<\/p><\/li>\n

    You should see phpMyAdmin respond with a success message of 1 row affected<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
