On our shared hosting accounts, Softaculous is available for installing scripts and programs for free. TikiWiki<\/strong> is available in Softaculous<\/strong> for free. The program is located in the Portals\/CMS<\/strong> section of Softaculous. This article will explain how to install TikiWiki using Softaculous.<\/p>\n

Installing TikiWiki with Softaculous<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Log into cPanel<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. If you are not installing TikiWiki on the main domain or an addon domain, a subdomain will need to be created. Create a subdomain<\/a> in the cPanel Domains section.<\/li>\n

  4. \"install-tikiwiki-softaculous-3-tikiwiki\"<\/a>\n

    Next, the TikiWiki Installation screen will display. Click<\/strong> the Install<\/strong> button.

    On the installation page, Enter the Software Setup, Site Settings, and Admin account information. <\/p>\n

    Software Setup:<\/strong>
    \u2013 Leave Choose protocol as is
    \u2013 Select the domain you are installing in in the Choose domain drop box.
    \u2013 Leave In Directory blank
    \u2013 Leave database name as is.<\/p>\n

    Site Settings:<\/strong>
    \u2013 Type whatever name you want for the site in the Site name field. (This can be changed later)<\/p>\n

    Admin account:<\/strong>
    \u2013 Type the Admin Username for login.
    \u2013 Enter the password for the admin login.
    \u2013 Type the Real name. (This is what displays on the website. Should be different that the admin username.)
    \u2013 Enter the admin email address. This needs to be valid. cPanel will create a default email that is invalid.<\/p>\n

    Click Install<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Now the page will show Checking the submitted data<\/strong>.
