In this Joomla<\/a>\u00a03.0 tutorial, we\u2019ll show you how to add an iframe<\/strong> when writing an article<\/a>. You can\u2019t simply use the HTML editor and type in your iframe code because Joomla will strip it out for security reasons. Therefore, you need to update your editor\u2019s settings and allow iframes.<\/p>\n

To use an iframe in Joomla 3.0:<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Log into your Joomla 3.0 administrative dashboard<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. In the top menu, click Extensions<\/strong> and then click Plug-in Manager<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. In the left menu under Filter<\/em>, click Select Type<\/strong> and then click editors<\/strong>. In the list of results, click Editor \u2013 TinyMCE<\/strong>.

  4. At the top of the page, click the Basic Options<\/strong> tab<\/li>\n
  5. Scroll down until you find the Prohibited Elements setting:\"prohibited-elements\"<\/a>\n

    \nElements that will be cleaned from the text. Do not leave empty \u2013 if you do not want to prohibit anything enter dummy text e.g.cms<\/em><\/p>\n

    The default text is script,applet,iframe<\/strong>. Delete ,iframe<\/strong> so that the setting now reads script,applet<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Click Save<\/strong> in the top left menu.<\/p>\n
