An important part of making your website easy to navigate is by creating menus. The initial creation of a menu is generally a two step process, creating the menu<\/strong> and then creating a module<\/strong> for the menu. In this tutorial, we will walk you through the steps for setting up a menu in Joomla 3.0.<\/p>\n

How to create a menu in Joomla 3.0<\/h2>\n

  1. Log into your Joomla 3.0 Administrative Dashboard<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. In the top menu, click Menus<\/strong> and then click Menu Manager<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. In the top left of the page, click the New<\/strong> button<\/li>\n
  4. Enter the following details for your menu, and then click the Save & Close<\/strong> button in the top left of the page:

    Title<\/th>\nThe title of the menu to display in the Administrator Menubar and lists.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Menu type<\/th>\nThe system name of the menu.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Description<\/th>\nA description about the purpose of the menu.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

    In our testing, we are creating a menu to list the test articles<\/em> that we have created.<\/p>\n

    How to Create a Menu Module in Joomla 3.0<\/h2>\n

    1. Log into your Joomla 3.0 Admin Dashboard<\/a><\/li>\n
    2. In the top menu, click Menus<\/strong> and then click Menu Manager<\/strong><\/li>\n

      In the list of menus, find the menu you want to create a module for. Within the table, under the Linked Modules<\/em> heading, click the link next to the menu that says Add a module for this menu type<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

    4. There are many different settings you can configure for your new module. In our testing, we are only going to enter just a few settings:
