In the last three articles, you learned how to create<\/a>, modify<\/a>, and disable<\/a> a currency. This article will take you through deleting a currency in your PrestaShop 1.5 store. This feature is useful if a currency is no longer in existence or if you simply no longer wish to service locations that use that currency. Deleting a currency means it will no longer display in the various currency selection dropdowns within the program. Follow along in the steps below as we show you how to delete a currency in PrestaShop 1.5.<\/p>\n

Removing a currency in PrestaShop 1.5<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Log into your PrestaShop 1.5 admin dashboard<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  2. Using the top menu bar, hover over the Localizations<\/strong> tab and click on the Currencies<\/strong> option.<\/li>\n
  3. From the Currencies<\/em> list screen, there are two ways to delete a currency. The first way is to click on the checkbox to the left side of the currency you want to remove, you can select more than one item in this manner if you wish. Once you have selected your currency or currencies, click the Delete Selected<\/strong> button underneath the list.\n

    The second way is to click the Delete<\/strong> icon that looks like a trashcan on the right side of the respective row for the currency you want to delete. <\/p>\n

    Regardless of which method you used, you will be met with a confirmation pop-up window. Select the OK<\/strong> button to confirm the deletion.

  4. Once you have confirmed, the list will now refresh and your deleted currency will no longer show.
