When we visit this new article in our browser, the url becomes:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"code_block\">https:\/\/domain.com\/index.php\/2-uncategorised\/1-<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">this-is-my-first-test-article<\/span><\/pre>\n<p>As we set the title of the article to, \u201c<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">This is my first test article<\/span>\u201c, Joomla used the article\u2019s title as the alias. In this tutorial, we\u2019ll show you how to change this alias. The steps below walk through this process after you have already published the article, but you can easily set this option while you\u2019re writing the article for the first time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Setting an article\u2019s alias in Joomla 3.0:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol class=\"article_list\">\n<li><a href=\"\/support\/edu\/joomla\/joomla-3\/how-to-log-in-to-administrative-dashboard\/\">Log into your Joomla 3.0 dashboard<\/a><\/li>\n<li>In the top menu, click <strong>Content<\/strong> and then click <strong>Article Manager<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>In the list of articles, click on the title of the article that you would like to change the alias for<\/li>\n<li>In the top menu, click <strong>Publishing Options<\/strong>. You will then see the <strong>Alias<\/strong> shown.
