In our last two tutorials, we walked you through the steps for installing Unite Nivo Slider for Joomla 2.5<\/a> and creating your first slider<\/a>. The slider we created is the parent item that will contain the individual images for our slideshow.<\/p>\n

In our tutorial, we will create a slideshow full of animal photos. We will now show you how to upload one image to your slider. You will need to repeat the steps below for each additional image that you would like to add.<\/p>\n

To add an image to a Unite Nivo Slider:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Log into your Joomla 2.5 admin section<\/li>\n
  2. In the top menu, hover over Components<\/strong> and then click Unite Nivo Slider<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Click the Slides<\/strong> tab (next to Sliders<\/em>)<\/li>\n
  4. If you have multiple sliders, select the appropriate slider next to the Select Slider<\/strong> drop down menu

  5. In the top right menu, click New<\/li>\n
  6. On the new slide page, enter the following details:
    \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
    Title<\/th>\nEnter a title for this picture<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Slider<\/th>\nSelect the slider the image should belong to<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    State<\/th>\nIf you want the image to show in your slideshow, ensure State<\/strong> is set to Published<\/strong>.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Slide image<\/th>\nClick Select to either select a current image you\u2019ve previously uploaded or upload a new image<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Slide description<\/th>\nEach slide can show text below the image. If you want this text to have a description, enter it here<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Activate Link<\/th>\nYou can setup the text to be clickable so that it links users to another page. If you want it to be clickable, select Yes<\/strong> for Activate Link<\/strong>.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Link<\/th>\nEnter the URL for page you would like the slide to link to<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Link Open In<\/th>\nSelect whether the link should open in either a new window<\/strong> or the same window<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
