After you have added a new product manufacturer<\/a> in PrestaShop 1.5, and can then added a description<\/strong> for your manufacturer. This description will show to your users when they are browsing products based on the manufacturer.<\/p>\n

To modify your Manufacturer Description in PrestaShop 1.5:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Log into your PrestaShop 1.5 Dashboard<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. In the top menu, hover over Catalog<\/strong> and click Manufacturers<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Within the list of manufacturers on the page, click the edit button<\/strong> (pencil icon) to the far rights of the manufacturer<\/li>\n
  4. Next to Short description<\/strong>, enter a small and to the point description about the manufacturer. Next to Description<\/strong>, enter more details about your manufacturer.<\/li>\n
  5. When finished typing in your manufacturer descriptions, click the Save<\/strong> button in the top right menu.\n

    In our testing, we entered the following descriptions for the Apple Computer, Inc<\/em> manufacturer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
    Short description<\/th>\nThis is the short description for the Apple Manufacturer.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Description<\/th>\nThis is the long description for the Apple Manufacturer.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

    When users are browsing your products based on manufacturer, they will first see the short description<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Under the short description<\/em> is a link that says More<\/strong>. When users click the more<\/em> link, the regular description<\/strong> will show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
