You can view more information about the end of life <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.joomla.org\/Joomla!_CMS_versions\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>In this tutorial series, we are using Akeeba Backup to manage backups for our Joomla 2.5 website. <a href=\"\/support\/edu\/joomla\/joomla-2-5\/install-akeeba-backup\/\">We\u2019ve already installed Akeeba backup<\/a>, and our next step is to <strong>run the post-installation configuration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Running the Akeeba Backup post-installation configuration<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"article_list\">\n<li><a href=\"\/support\/edu\/joomla\/joomla-3\/how-to-log-in-to-administrative-dashboard\/\">Log into your Joomla 2.5 dashboard<\/a><\/li>\n<li>In the top menu, hover over <strong>Components<\/strong> and click <strong>Akeeba Backup<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Ensure <strong>Run the Configuration Wizard<\/strong> is checked, and then click <strong>Apply these preferences<br><a href=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/edu_joomla25_configure-akeeba-backup_run-the-configuration-wizard-and-apply-these-preferences.gif\" rel=\"lightbox-0\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"722\" height=\"467\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inmotionhosting.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/edu_joomla25_configure-akeeba-backup_run-the-configuration-wizard-and-apply-these-preferences.gif\" class=\"optimized-lcp-image\" alt=\"run-the-configuration-wizard-and-apply-these-preferences\" loading=\"eager\" fetchpriority=\"high\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\"><\/a>\n<div style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<p><\/p><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Akeeba Backup will then run a few benchmark tests to determine optimal settings for it to use when backing up your Joomla 2.5 website.
