By default, Magento 1.6 allows your website\u2019s visitors or guests to write reviews for your products. there may be times when you want to disable their ability to write reviews. Disallowing guest to write reviews in Magento 1.6 is done through the Magento Admin Backend.<\/p>\n

  2. Go to System ->> Configuration<\/strong>.\"magento_dashboard_1\"<\/li>\n
  3. Click on \u201cCatalog<\/strong>\u201d in the left side menu pane.<\/li>\n
  4. Open the \u201cProduct Reviews<\/strong>\u201d section.<\/li>\n
  5. Change the \u201cAllow Guests to Write Reviews<\/strong>\u201d and the \u201cNo<\/strong>\u201c.\"magento_review_1\"<\/li>\n
