As you start to customize your newly installed Magento web store, you\u2019ll probably want to change the logo that displays in the top right section of the header on each page. This can be easily accomplished in the Magento\u00a0Admin Panel at any time.<\/p>\n

Uploading Your Logo to Magento<\/h2>\n

In Magento, to change the logo you simply have to specify a new URL path to the logo. If you want to place the logo in the same folder as the default one, you\u2019ll have to use cPanel\u2019s File Manager or FTP into your Magento Hosting<\/a> account. Each logo is relative to the template you are using. If you change the theme on your website, you\u2019ll have to upload the new image.<\/p>\n

While this may sound complicated, it keeps the files and folders of Magento organized.<\/p>\n

  1. With your FTP program<\/a> (in this example we\u2019ll use FileZilla<\/a>), go to the root folder of Magento.<\/li>\n
  2. Go to skin\/frontend\/default<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. From here you\u2019ll need to select the template you are using. Currently we\u2019re using the \u201cmodern<\/strong>\u201d template so we\u2019ll click on that folder.<\/li>\n
  4. Now, click on the images<\/strong> folder.<\/li>\n
  5. Select the logo file, and upload the file.\"magento_logo_4\"<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Setting the Path to the Logo in Magento<\/h2>\n

    Now, that you have uploaded the image of your logo to Magento, we\u2019ll need to tell Magento where it is. Changing the file path or URL to your logo in Magento is easily accomplished in the Magento Admin backend.<\/p>\n

    1. Log into your Magento Admin Panel<\/a>.<\/li>\n
    2. Go to System ->> Configuration<\/strong>.\"magento_dashboard_1\"<\/a><\/li>\n
    3. Click on \u201cDesign<\/strong>\u201d in the left side menu pane.<\/li>\n
    4. Open the \u201cHeader<\/strong>\u201d section.<\/li>\n
    5. Change the file name in the \u201cLogo Image Src<\/strong>\u201d to the file name you just uploaded. Leave the images\/<\/strong>prefix alone.\"magento_logo_5\"<\/a><\/li>\n
