Now, that you have installed your Magento 1.6 store, and you\u2019re selling products on the Internet, you\u2019ve become a global business. Anyone with an Internet connection could access your website. Magento server hosting<\/a>\u00a0gives the admin the ability to block access to specific countries. Also, \u201cPostal Code is Optional<\/strong>\u201d gives you the ability to select the countries that you will ship to, but where a postal code is optional. These settings can be changed in the Magento Admin Backend at any time.<\/p>\n

    2. Go to System ->> Configuration<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. In the left menu pane, click \u201cGeneral<\/strong>\u201d under the \u201cGeneral<\/strong>\u201d heading<\/li>\n
        2. Open the section labeled \u201cCountries Options<\/strong>\u201c<\/li>\n
        3. Select the Default Country from the drop down menu<\/li>\n
        4. By default, all countries are allowed to access your store. If you wish to block a specific country from acessing your store, find the country in the \u201cAllow Countries<\/strong>\u201d list hold the CRTL key down and select the country. This will unhighlight the country and remove remove them from the list of allows countries.<\/li>\n
        5. Select any country where the postal code is optional from the dropdown menu<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
