Magento 1.6 has a default title used as the meta-title on all non-content pages that do not have a custom title. You can change this default title to whatever you\u2019d like. You\u2019ll want to use a more descriptive title and it is easily changed in the Magento 1.6 Admin Panel.<\/p>\n

  1. Log into your Magento Admin Backend<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Go to System ->> Configuration<\/strong><\/li>\n

  3. In the left menu pane under \u201cGeneral<\/strong>\u201d select \u201cDesign<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n
  4. Click on the \u201cHTML Head<\/strong>\u201d section in the center of your browser screen to open it<\/li>\n
  5. Next to the \u201cDefault Title<\/strong>\u201d heading type in your custom title <\/li>\n

  6. If you want your store name to show up in all your pages title tag at the end, you can put it into the \u201ctitle Suffix<\/strong>\u201d field as well<\/li>\n
