A new feature in Joomla 2.5 is the User Notes feature. This feature allows you to log notes on users. Other Joomla Administrators<\/a> can see these notes, and this can be especially helpful if you\u2019re keeping track of a problematic user in a social site. Adding new user notes in Joomla only takes a moment, and we\u2019ll show you how to do so in this article.<\/p>\n

To add a new user note in Joomla 2.5:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Log into your Joomla Dashboard<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. In the top menu, hover over Users<\/strong> and click User Manager
    \"click-user-manager\"<\/a>\n
    <\/div>\n

    <\/p><\/strong><\/li>\n

  3. Click the User Notes<\/strong> tab, and then click New<\/strong> in the top right menu
    \"click-user-notes\"<\/a>\n
    <\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  4. Under New Note<\/strong>, fill in the required fields, and then click Save & Close<\/strong> in the top right menu

    Note Subject <\/th>\nThis will be the subject line of your new Joomla 2.5 Note<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Note ID <\/th>\nThis will be the user the note belongs to. Click the Select User button to find the user to assign the note to<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Category <\/th>\nIf you have setup different note categories, select the appropriate category from the dropdown<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Status <\/th>\nMuch like Joomla articles, notes need a status (Published, Unpublished, Archived, Trashed)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Review Time <\/th>\nThis is a manually entered time to help you keep track of the time the note relates to. Joomla does not by default give you any notifications of notes with an upcoming review time.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Note <\/th>\nThis is the actual note<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
