Now that you have set up your global options<\/a> in the previous tutorial, you can begin to apply them to specific products. That way, your customers can order specific sizes, colors, and versions of your products. Adding options to a product is done through your OpenCart Dashboard.<\/p>\n

  1. Log into your OpenCart Dashboard<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Go to Catalog > Products<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Select the product you want to add an option to by clicking on \u201cEdit<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n
  4. Go to the \u201cOption<\/strong>\u201d tab<\/li>\n

  5. In the box with the green<\/span> \u201c+<\/strong>\u201d icon, start typing the name of the \u201coption<\/strong>\u201d you created in the previous tutorial and choose the option from the auto suggest<\/li>\n

  6. Click on the green<\/span> \u201c+<\/strong>\u201d icon<\/li>\n
  7. Depending on the option you will see different fields. Click on \u201cAdd Option Value<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n
  8. Choose the Option Value, Stock, Price, Weight, etc. that you want to set for that product when a user chooses the specific option. Click \u201cSave<\/strong>\u201d when you have set all the option values<\/li>\n

    OpenCart allows you to use \u201cOptions<\/strong>\u201d globally. If your options are generic like colors or sizes you can use them on multiple products to save time without adding them to the options page in OpenCart.
