It\u2019s important to test your OpenCart shopping cart to be sure it functions as you have intended it. At this point you should have already set a product price to a penny and set \u201cflat rate\u201d shipping to a penny. Now, you\u2019ll want to purchase the product and process the order. This will allow you to understand how your e-commerce website will function from a customer\u2019s point of view.<\/p>\n

  1. Go to your storefront (our store is located at opencart.inmotiontesting.com)<\/li>\n
  2. Find the product you have listed for $0.01<\/li>\n

  3. Once you have the product page pulled up click on the \u201cadd to cart<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/li>\n
  4. Now that the item is in your shopping cart click on the shopping cart icon in the upper right corner.<\/li>\n
  5. A popup box will open. Click the \u201cCheckout<\/strong>\u201d button<\/li>\n

  6. Next you\u2019ll want to create a \u201cNew Customer<\/strong>\u201d account. Select the radio button next to \u201cRegister Account<\/strong>\u201d and click \u201ccontinue<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n

  7. Follow each of the steps in the order process. When you are finished with each step you\u2019ll click the \u201ccontinue<\/strong>\u201d button to move on.<\/li>\n
  8. The last step in the process is \u201cStep 5: Payment Method<\/strong>\u201d \u2013 Select PayPal or whatever method you have already set up. When you are done making your selections. Click \u201cContinue<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n
  9. The last step is to confirm your order. Click \u201cconfirm order<\/strong>\u201d and it will open up the paypal window alongside your order. Login to PayPal and process the order just like you would as if you were a customer.<\/li>\n

  10. When you complete the payment process you will \u00a0be sent an email confirming your order is being processed.<\/li>\n

    Please make sure once you are finished, it is very important that you change the \u201cFlat Rate\u201d shipping cost and the product cost back to their original prices.
