Some of these automations are listed below. Bear in mind, you must have either imported your applications into Softaculous or have used Softaculous to install them originally in order to take advantage of these tools.

If you have more than one installation of WordPress, or if you are using other CMSes or Wikis, Softaculous lets you see everything you’ve got going. With one click you can see all of your sites and perform various actions.

Backup

You have likely heard it many times: always have backups of your site. Softaculous provides an easy way to back up your site and download the archived backup for off-site storage. (Highly recommended.)

Decided you’re done with a certain site? With one click you can remove a whole applications: files and databases included.

How to Import a WordPress Site Into Softaculous

In order to import a WordPress site, the site itself must be uploaded to the server, so it can be recognized by Softaculous.

  1. Log into your cPanel
  2. Select Softaculous Apps Installer under Software
  3. Select WordPress from the list of popular installs (also under Blogs category)
  4. Click Import on the WordPress page
  5. Fill in the protocol, domain, and directory where the site resides
  6. Click Import button

The process will proceed from this point. Once the site has been sucessfully imported, you will see a success message.
