How to Setup Google Search Console in Yoast SEO

As we continue our series on the Yoast SEO plugin, we will now show you how to setup Google Search Console in Yoast SEO. This will allow the Yoast plugin to pull data from your Google Search Console. This information can help you better understand the traffic patterns of your visitors and target your audience more accurately. Setup Google Search Console

  1. Log into your WordPress Dashboard.
  2. Click the SEO then Search Console link.

  3. On the Search Console page, click the Get Google Authorization Code button.

  4. If you have multiple Google accounts choose the one that is associated with your WordPress site.

  5. It will then ask if you want to allow Yoast SEO to “View and manage Search Console data for your verified sites.” Click the Allow button.

  6. You will then be presented with a code, copy this code.

  7. Go back to your WordPress Dashboard and paste the code into the available field.

  8. Click the Authenticate button to confirm the code.

    You are finished when you see a “Settings saved” message.
