Why do I lose products when I change languages in VirtueMart?

In our previous article, we explained how to change your VirtueMart store language. When we changed our store from English to Spanish, we noticed all of our products disappear. You can lose products in VirtueMart because the products are stored in the database based upon language. If you add 20 products in English, you are not adding any products to the Spanish version of your store.

When working with individual products, there are no options to customize about the product based upon which language your site is in. Instead, you will need to switch Joomla to the desired language and then add your products again.
