# Configuring your site in SmartFTP

1. Begin by opening SmartFTP

3. **Address:** Either your domain name, host name or server IP
4. **Login:** cPanel username or other FTP username
5. **Password:** cPanel password or other FTP account password
6. **Port:** The default port is 21 and should be left as is unless you are instructed otherwise.
