# Download a copy of your website files

This article will walk you through downloading website files from a previous host that does not utilize cPanel.

1. Using the **FTP and Database Information Needed** form we have provided, contact your previous host and fill in the requested information for your previous host.
2. On your local computer’s desktop, create a new folder named **website backup**.
3. Download and install the FTP program FileZilla.
4. [Using FileZilla](/support/website/ftp/managing-your-files-in-filezilla/) and the information from the form in Step 1, connect to your previous host and download your website files to the **website backup **folder on your local computer.
