How to Install OpCache on your cPanel Server

cPanel server administrators don’t need the terminal to install OpCache. In this tutorial, we will show you how to install OpCache on your cPanel server. OpCache can easily be set up on your server via WHM using EasyApache 4 (EA4).

Installing OpCache

  1. Log into WHM as the ‘root‘ user.
  2. Type ‘easy’ in the search field, then click the EasyApache 4 link in the Software section.

  3. You will see the All PHP Options + OpCache option listed, click the Provision button.

You will then see a message stating “Preparing selected packages for review …” This may take several minutes.

  4. You will then see a list of the packages you will be installing and upgrading. Scroll to the bottom and click the Provision button.

The provision process will begin. This may take several minutes to complete.

  5. OpCache has been installed successfully when you see a message stating “The provision process is complete.” Click the Done button on the bottom of the page.

Congratulations, now you know how to install OpCache on your VPS or Dedicated server! In the next guide, we’ll show you how to remove OpCache from your server.
