Hi Samantha,

Your last words are "I can't." Does this mean you can't check your email or you can't do something else?


EMAIL: Can you check your email by logging into inmotionhosting > AMP Login > CPanel > Email > Add/Edit Email Accounts > (find your account) Click the "Check Email" button?

Your next issue is that these emails can be very unhelpful. Sorry.

Aside from this, you are actually "seeing" a webpage. The issue is, the webpage is just a message "Technical Difficulties" instead of what you expect to see.  Since you DO have a webpage...of sorts...the issue isn't really a inmotionhosting problem, it's a Wordpress problem (your Wordpress site is displaying a Wordpress error message).


Very common issues are a bad plugin or a bad theme - sometimes Wordpress updates and it makes a plugin or theme incompatible. Sometimes things just glitch because the gods hate us all. You can disable the theme/plugins by renaming them (below).

If this is a brand new site with no content, AFTER you've tried your other options, you could always reinstall Wordpress. If you have updated backups of your site (like Backup Buddy or similar) this isn't nearly as painful.

Start by disabling your current plugins. Use an FTP program such as Filezilla OR login to inmotionhosting > AMP Login > cPanel > File Manager > public_html/samanthamerrick.com/wp-content/plugins/

(if the folder isn't here, leave off the "public_html" part and go directly into wp-content).

When you find the plugins folder, rename it to plugins.old. This will disable ALL your plugins, which doesn't matter, because our site isn't working anyway. Try accessing your site again. Once you're logged in, you will need to rename the folder back to "plugins" and you'll need to re-enable your plugins (and update them).

If disabling plugins doesn't work, try disabling your current theme. You can do this by using an FTP program like Filezilla OR by logging in to inmotionhosting > AMP Login > cPanel > File Manager > ...*probably* public_html/samanthamerrick.com/wp-content/themes/  Rename the specific current theme folder (Ex: if your current theme is twenty-nineteen, change the folder name from "twenty-nineteen" to "twenty-nineteen-old").

Try logging into your site again.
