Email sent by friend rejected as spam

A friend of mine sent me an email and he got an error message that it was detected as spam. The info is below: An email received later came through OK. Can you let me know how to prevent this in the future? The event will consist of two rounds of team doubles matches one on Saturday late morning the other on Sunday late morning with a banquet Saturday night including drinks, hors d'oeuvre, plated dinner and dancing and an event wrap party on Sunday afternoon with drinks and hors d'oeuvre (two attendees per invite per function) and a commemorative hat for each player. The teams will be drawn from the confirmed players list by this summer event's Captains Ken Normoyle, of Jupiter CC, and yours truly. Our goal is to have even teams and matches with quality tennis (3.5 ­ 5.5 players) and an even higher quality social functions. Those of you are familiar with the annual Friendship Cup can attest to the fun we have, it is great to throw a party to celebrate our tennis and friendship.
