Does InMotion Hosting use security that blocks XML RPC protocol?

Here is my issue: I am trying to use the WP / LR Sync plugin for Lightroom and WordPress. I have installed the plugin on both my WordPress site and Lightroom. When I try to connect to my site from within Lightroom to authorize the plugin, it is connecting to my site and finding the correct directory where the XML / RPC handler is located (xmlrpc.php).
However, it seems that there is a security setting somewhere that is preventing Lightroom from posting to WordPress through the WP/LR Sync plugin.
Does inmotion hosting apply additional security measures that prevent third party applications from posting directly to a WordPress site?
The plugin developer has noted this has been a conflict that has occurred with some hosting companies that offer an added layer of security for their WordPress sites. Here is a link to the developer's post:

Hello olearyphoto1, Thank you for contacting us again about the WP/LR Sync plugin. InMotion Hosting does not blcok XML RPC protocol. We are happy to help you troubleshoot this plugin problem, but will need some additional information. As the guide you linked to recommends, did you "check your PHP logs" first? Have you tried disabling mod_security from your cPanel as a test? I recommend re-enabling it after you are finished testing. If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below. Thank you, John-Paul
