Website created in DreamWeaver - Can't get it uploaded properly

I designed my website using DreamWeaver. I have tried to upload it through DW setting up with the information found in the cpanel under "configure ftp client" (there is nothing listed as a "root directory" there btw) and when I run the test it says I am connected and that everything has been uploaded but when I go to my website it shows the site coming page. I have also tried uploading with Filezilla. It shows all my files have been uploaded. What am I doing wrong? Am I missing a step somewhere?

Hello Kwkaren,

Thanks for your question about uploading the website files you developed in Dreamweaver. The default website root for InMotion Hosting accounts is public_html. The files should all be uploaded into that folder. By default, there should be some type of index file in your website files. Index files will be either index.htm, index.html, or index.php. If you did not setup an index file, then "under construction page" will still appear. Bear in mind that files names are capital sensitive - so, if you named your index file Index.html, then the web server would not see it. It would need to be all in lower case. You can find more information about the document root here.

I hope this helps to answer your question, please let us know if you require any further assistance.

Kindest regards,

Arnel C.
