In using FrontPage2003 to ftp updates, I get the error: "the destination site does not have public_html. Do you want one created?"

Hello, Sorry to hear you are seeing a "destination site does not have public_html" error in your FrontPage. Unless you deleted it, you do indeed have a public_html folder. You will want to check the settings within your FrontPage to see if they are correct. Unfortunately, no one, not even Microsoft, supports FrontPage any longer, so actual issues within the software are almost impossible to correct. I would suggest looking into other builder tools. Microsoft does have one they support currently, Microsoft Expression Web. I believe it is on version 4 at the moment. Kindest Regards, Scott M
