Does Inmotion store sensitive information in an encrypted format?

Is sensitive information like an FTP password stored in an encrypted format? Will anyone on your staff (e.g. customer service) be able to look up my password if I am having trouble with my account?

Hello, Thank you for your question about password storage. Passwords such as FTP, cPanel passwords, Root passwords, etc are all stored in an encrypted manner. We are not able to see any of them within our system. The best we could do is test a password that you give us to see if it works. We can, however, change the password if you are unable to reset your cPanel password, for instance. Kindest Regards, Scott M
