Communication between gmail and webmail not working

Hello,

I've had my webmail for my .com set up through gmail for almost a year now. I was setting up my partner with a new email and upon adding his email to gmail through accounts, he was getting this error message during the SMTP server step.

"Authentication failed. Please check your username/password.
[Server response: DNS Error: Address resolution of smtp.mop-la.com. failed: Domain name not found code(0) ]"

This seemed strange so I went and checked both my emails that I had setup on my gmail months and I got the same error. Both had been working fine until now. However I had noticed in the last few days that I was not receiving emails that I should have been getting for account verification for a service I signed up for using those addresses.

I am at a loss and would love some help. Thank you!

Hello Dustin, Sorry to hear that you're having problems with receiving emails through Gmail. The email settings may have changed causing the issue that you're seeing. The DNS error is indicating smtp.mop-la.com. Our outgoing settings do not use "smtp", but are typically in this format: "mail.mop-la.com". For more information, check out how to find your email settings. Double-check your settings within Gmail and if they're set correctly, the email client should connect. I hope this helps to answer your question, please let us know if you require any further assistance. Regards, Arnel C.
