Hello and thanks for contacting us. How you accomplish this depends on your website or CMS - HTML/CSS, WordPress, Drupal, etc. I recommend contacting our Live Support with verification for further assistance.

I removed the verification code as that's a potential security issue for you and I can't access your website.

Hello John1234,

Thank you for contacting us about a lost Google Site Verification file. Here is a link to Google's guide on how to verify your site ownership. After following that link, click the Verify your Property button, then select your Property. You will then see a download link in the HTML file section.

Thank you,

John-Paul

Hello, Thanks for the question about "ownership verification" using Google Webmaster. Ownership of a website would be done mainly through the ownership of the domain name and the ownership of the hosting account (where the files are stored for the website). What was previously known as "Google Webmaster Tools" is known as the Google Search Console. Site Mapping is simply the process of creating a file that lists the web pages of your site (Learn about sitemaps). If you have an ownership dispute, you would need to work that out with the domain registrar. As a hosting service, we would not mediate that dispute. Account ownership for hosting is based on the registered name on the account and would need to be verified through Customer Service. If you need to perform an ownership transfer, Customer Service would need to have verification of the transfer from the previous party before the information is changed for the account. I hope this helps to answer your question, please let us know if you require any further assistance. Regards, Arnel C.

Hello,

Thank you for your Google Verification question. I reviewed the TXT entry you setup, and it looks correct, although I can't compare it to what Google provided.

If you just created the record, keep in mind this type of DNS modification can take up to 24 hours to propagate, or push out to the world.

An alternate method for verifying your Webmaster tools account is to use the HTML verification file, which does not need to propagate.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.

Thank you,

John-Paul
