Hello there,

I've tried Google apps for a month and for the moment I'm not willing to pay for it. Hence, I'm going back to local inmotion mail - what should I put in my MX records?

Thanks,

Hello Mfigrs, Thanks for the question! If you modified your MX records to go to Google's mail server, then you will need to remove those entries and go back to the ones for InMotion's email. A good reference for this is to look at our article: Modifying MX records. You would be basically working backwards through the process. You would need to remove the entries listed for Google (delete the entries using the MX Entry option in cPanel), except for the first entry. You will need to make that first entry into your domains MX entry. It will be typically named mail.yourdomainname.com. The priority will be set to 0 and you will need to make sure that that your email routing settings are set back to Local Mail Exchanger. Once the DNS changes have been made, your email will start using the InMotion mail server after a short period of propagation time to allow for the server setting changes. I hope this helps to answer your question! If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know. Regards, Arnel C.
