I want to set up an email list.  Per the Help, I would have to use phpLists but that didn't work.  I set them up, but there was no way of importing the actual email addresses.  Is there a functioning way?

Well, it was exactly because I wanted to get away from MailChimp that I was looking into this.
I think I need more step-by-step instructions to do this.  I know about the Databases and the directories, so I don't need any help with that. But the importing of the CSV files just gives me non-constructive error messages.  Is there a more detailed guide?   THANKS!

We are systematically updating our older articles, so stay tuned. In the meantime, you may want to check some of the tutorial videos on YouTube or visit the phpList forum.

We advise importing emails into phpList using a CSV file. If that does not work, you may want to try out a third-party solution like MailChimp or Constant Contact.
