The www. version of our site, www.kairva.com, points to an older version of our site. We need it to match the non-www version, kairva.com.

I think the www versions is pointing to a wordpress site.

Hello K Baldwin,

Thank you for your question regarding the www. version of your domain. To clarify, if the www. version of your site does not work, that likely means the DNS record for that version of your domain was changed to route traffic to the wrong location.

To fix this, you will want to login to your cPanel and access the "Zone Editor" utility to review your DNS records for a CNAME or A record that is routing traffic for the www. version of your site. If it is an A record, you will want to change it to a CNAME record and make sure the destination is the non-www. version of your site.

After making this change it will take 4-24 hours for the new records to propagate throughout the rest of the global internet.

If you continue to experience difficulties I recommend contacting our 24/7 Technical Support team by calling 888.321.HOST(4678) or by starting a chat session via your Account Management Panel.

Best Regards,

Alyssa K

I am having the same problem. wiwildcare.org works, but www.wiwildcare.org doesn't work.  I would like www.wiwildcare.org to point to wiwildcare.org.  We have both our domain name and hosting with your company.  Can you pleaseclarify and update your answer from 7 years ago?  Thanks!

Hello Ajmorris,

Thanks for the question! Typically, this means that the WWW designation has been set in your domain's DNS to point to a specific location - in this case it was pointing to the older location as you indicated. You could actually make this change yourself in the cPanel using the Advanced DNS editor (you can see it that it now points to your kairva.com website in this editor).

For your convenience, this has been changed in the DNS to point to your kairva.com site as requested. Please note that DNS changes may have a short delay period called DNS propagation. Once this period expires, then the change should apply.

I hope this helps to resolve your problem! Please let us know if you have any further questions or comments.

Regards,

Arnel C.
