The subtext states, "The message could not be moved to the mailbox Trash."
I have the account setup as an IMAP.

Hello Event180, There are several possibilities for this error to occur with your iPad - for the most part they have to do with your settings or the connection that the iPad is making with the email server. Check the INBOX setting: NOTE: If you are not seeing the IMAP folders in your Inbox folder (and you have multiple folders) then you may need to specify the IMAP path prefix. 1) You can enter in the IMAP path prefix by going to Settings > Mail > Account > Advanced > IMAP Path Prefix. 2) Enter the word "INBOX" (use all caps) and save the setting. Now, your folders should appear as subfolders in the Inbox. It is possible that your mailbox is full and cannot receive any further emails to the trash. If this is the case, then you would need to delete emails from the trash. Your iPad is not making a good connection with the mail server. This could be for a variety of reasons, but we would highly recommend reviewing your connection settings to the server. Here's a great link for setting up email on an IPAD. Advanced - mailbox behaviors on the iPad Like the iPhone, the iPad connects and synchronizes its mail from the server using IMAP. Make sure that the Deleted Mailbox option is set to the iPad (see this link for further details Mail Box behaviors. Hopefully, that covers the possibilities.
