Just wanted to check, My client has a shared SSL on there new site, but on loading Wordpress (in Cpanel) it will not recognize https: and only allows http: ?

Thanks Arnel, Neither this or the other suggestion seems to work, think the issue seems to be that the client will have to buy a SSL and not use the free version.

Hi Dave,

Just wanted to add a few things to help you with the SSL issue.  You can always check to see if the SSL certificate is valid using this URL:  SSL Checker.

Once you have the SSL certificate applied, check out your site, you can see if there are any areas of the site not protected by the SSL using this link:  Why no padlock?

Thank's Chris, Will give the plugin a try.

Have a good one...

Are you referring to the shared SSL secure URL? That will only work with the full shared URL (using the server's hostname) but not on an individual domain.

Or, if you're referring to the free SSL, that will work for the individual domain. We recommend using a WordPress plugin like Really Simple SSL to make the site use HTTPS.
